Description of synchroflex belts and their manufacturing process

Synchroflex belts are made of resistant polyurethane and high tensile steel cord. These high-quality materials are combined to form dimensionally stable and high resistance polyurethane belts. These belts are built in such a way that they have a very high span rigidity. These belts usually deliver high output because of the high-grade materials.

It makes a great bond between the hard wear polyurethane and galvanized steel which makes it liable for high power output. It has very flexible production, making it suitable for the production of double-sided belts and rear cameras with high accuracy. The components used in this enables at low temperature, in cleaning rooms, and food industry.

 Nature and application

The synchroflex belts are antistatic in nature. The properties of this belt are achieved by the antistatic coating and antistatic PU – mixture. These belts find their application where electrostatic charges are not acceptable. Electric charges due to rubbing two surfaces happen where time belts are present. These electric charges are so high that there is a chance of ignition at the moment of discharge. The value of this electric charge is known from the material from which these belts are made. The electric charge increases with an increase of the synchroflex belt speed with the surface. These belts are used where synchronous transmission of a rotary movement is required.

Manufacturing process

  • The timing belt is an accurate image of its shape. The belt has a high pitch accuracy. This is one of the reasons why it is suitable for accuracy, smooth running and high rotational speed.
  • It has low tolerance, and it is influenced by changing cord tension.
  • It has good bonding with steel cord because of the casting method and capillary effect.
  • Belt length is from 55 to 6000 mm approx.

The fields where it is preferred to be applied are- office machinery, EDP machinery, textile machinery, wood processing machinery, machine tools, printing tools, pumping machines, compressors and building machinery.
